HBF hosted the New Homes Accelerator (NHA) for an exclusive webinar giving members an insight into the programme’s work to unblock and accelerate housing delivery across England.
Representatives from the NHA explained how the programme, delivered in partnership by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), Homes England and the Greater London Authority (GLA), works with home builders and local authorities to tackle the site-specific and system-wide barriers that can delay housing developments.
The session provided an overview of the practical support available to residential development sites of all types across England that are experiencing challenges or delays. This can include planning advice, brokerage with Government departments and statutory consultees, and technical assistance to help resolve issues and get sites moving.
The session was followed by a dedicated Q&A, giving HBF members the opportunity to put their questions directly to the NHA team and find out more about the support available to help unlock housing delivery.
